ClassNK releases latest PrimeShip-HULL version

Classification society ClassNK has released a new version its design support system, PrimeShip-HULL 2022.

The software has been updated in line with a recent revision of its Rules for the Survey and Construction of Steel Ships Part C and provides support for shipbuilding design.

The PrimeShip-HULL series of applications perform strength evaluations based on the Rules Part C, which stipulates requirements for hull structures, and can be linked with the 3D ship design system provided by ClassNK subsidiary NAPA.

The recent 2022 update has added an evaluation function in line with the new rule requirements, and improved automation capabilities for design.

In addition, PrimeShip-HULL series that have been separately provided by ship type have now been integrated to allow modelling and evaluation of various ship types to be performed with the same interface.
