BASSnet software adds CII Calculator

BASS reports that it has launched a new Carbon Intensity Indicator (CII) calculator as part of the latest service pack release for its BASSnet software platform.

The tool will allow users of the BASSnet Fleet Management System to calculate their vessels’ latest CII values by using data already recorded within BASSnet’s Electronic Logs and Vessel Particulars sub modules.

Ratings can be visualised and monitored on a fleet and vessel level, with future projections of CII scores based on existing data trends also calculated and displayed within the system.

“At BASS, we have specifically designed eco-friendly solutions that bring value,” said Per Steinar Upsaker, CEO and Managing Director at BASS Software.

“Our new CII Calculator will enable easy and effective carbon monitoring. Using the calculator, ship owners and managers can also evaluate current CII rankings for vessels in their fleet and proceed to take the necessary steps to comply with upcoming regulatory requirements.”
