FourKites adds AI to supply chain data platform

Supply chain visibility platform FourKites has launched Fin AI, a new natural language interface to improve the capabilities of its data network.

The technology is aimed at reducing data silos for supply chain data, using generative artificial intelligence (AI) to deliver new methods of exploring, monitoring and leveraging that data for real-time decision-making.

Fin AI can be used to analyse those datasets and assist operators in assessing the impact of disruptive events on their supply chain, so they can quickly isolate impacted shipments and take action, as well as providing opportunities to diagnose why a shipment isn’t tracking and bring it online.

“FourKites is proud to be building at the leading edge of supply chain data and AI,” said FourKites founder and CEO Mathew Elenjickal.

“With Fin AI, we are giving our customers greater depth and breadth of actionable insights across their supply chains, further empowering them to focus on the information and decisions that will move their businesses forward. Over time, automation through Fin AI will act as a direct extension of the capabilities of those who use it.”

FourKites tracks more than 3 million shipments per day across the world, collecting more than 6,000 data points per shipment and generating over 18 million estimated times of arrival (ETAs). Over time, the company hopes that Fin AI will help customers to discover new opportunities for optimisation across their operational workflows.
