Theyr optimisation tech to be integrated with Bogerd Martin software

Bogerd Martin and Theyr have agreed a new licensing agreement that will see Theyr’s voyage performance optimisation engine, T-VOS, integrated into Bogerd Martin’s range of chart and navigational data products.

The T-VOS Optimisation Engine was developed under a partnership with Southampton University and the Alan Turing Institute, utilising a multi-objective genetic algorithm to optimise voyages for safety, weather conditions, time, fuel consumption, and Time Charter Equivalent (TCE).

Following the new deal, the technology will be made available to Bogerd Martin’s customers to select a set of optimal voyages for each vessel when T-VOS Engine is made available within Chart Track Navigator Suite later this year.

“The integration of this voyage performance optimisation tool in Chart Track Navigator Suite onboard will enable us to optimise routeing and improve sea passage time and fuel consumption across the fleet of our customers,” said Céline Mortier, CEO of Bogerd Martin – Chart Track.

“With our Chart Track Insights, which will be released by the end of the year, we will provide our shore customers with unique insights and opportunities to finetune their decarbonisation strategy.”
