Net Feasa increases security on container tracking device

Ireland-based container IoT company Net Feasa has increased the security capabilities of its IoTPASS Smart Container Tracking system, adapting the device to create a new a security bridge between the locking bar and the container.

The patent pending addition to the Net Feasa system uses the company’s Context Aware AI functionality to interpret security infringements or anomalies detected by the IoT device on the container.

The design will also help to simplify the installation of IoTPASS, with the unit capable of being snapped onto the locking bar of the container door and spun into place, before immediately starting to transmit data. Types of data provided include security infringements, such as unauthorised door opening, route deviation, prolonged dwell time and other shipment anomalies.

“IoTPASS now enables us to interpret container security and integrity infringements while containers are in-transit, wherever they are,” said Mike Fitzgerald, Chairman of Net Feasa.

“This development will lead to the improvement of the supply chain risk management services right across the shipping industry, generating additional revenue streams.”
