Viasat has announced an agreement to integrate video streaming technology from Videosoft into its INTELIE operational AI platform.
The agreement means Viasat will be able to provide Videosoft’s live-streaming capabilities via INTELIE to increase situational awareness for businesses, helping them to respond to events in real-time through the use of AI-driven monitoring and analytics.
Videosoft’s technology uses adaptive video compression and transmission to deliver streaming over satellite communications, requiring as little as 4 kbps. The company is already a member of Viasat’s ELEVATE programme, the satellite operator’s IoT marketplace.
