Athens-based shipping company Angelakos (Hellas), operator of a fleet of 14 bulk carriers, has agreed a deal to deploy a range of telemedicine services across its fleet to support improved crew welfare.
Angelakos (Hellas) will roll out the Vikand service in conjunction with satcom provider Navarino, providing onboard access to a team of maritime medical professionals to support both the physical and mental health of the seafarers.
The system will operate using dedicated equipment and an application that supports video calling, follow up and qualified medical assistance services.
