Five shipbroking firms—Arrow, Gibson Shipbrokers, Howe Robinson, Ifchor Galbraiths, and SSY—have partnered to launch Ocean Recap, a new platform for Recap and Charter Party management.
Ocean Recap has been created to address concerns over data security and market consolidation, and to ensure continued competition in the digital charter party space.
Developed with Signal Ocean, the application aims to provide a secure, independent digital system for charterers and owners.
The founding partners say that the platform has now processed more than 1,000 Charter Parties for over 75 clients across the tanker and dry markets during testing over the past 18 months.

Ocean Recap is now entering its next testing phase, with a limited number of early adopter spaces available for charterers and owners. A full market release is planned for mid-2025.
