Hoppe Marine and Syroco have announced a partnership aimed at supporting decarbonisation in maritime cargo transportation by combining real-time vessel data with AI-driven optimisation.
Syroco provides a software platform that uses artificial intelligence for weather routing and vessel setting optimisation, while Hoppe Marine offers sensor technology and cloud-based data acquisition, enabling API access to operational vessel data.
By integrating Hoppe’s Performance Monitoring Platform with Syroco Live, the partnership aims to allow real-time sensor data from Hoppe’s system to be transmitted directly to Syroco’s platform, improving the accuracy of real-time simulations and optimisation recommendations for vessel crews.
Syroco Live will also use historical sensor data from Hoppe’s platform to recalibrate digital twins, ensuring an accurate representation of vessel performance. This will help to prevent model drift caused by factors such as fouling and engine degradation, while also allowing the system to adapt to changing cargo loads.
