Blue Water launches BOND self-service optimisation platform

Maritime software company Blue Water has launched BOND (BOSS on Demand), a new self-service platform for voyage reporting, optimisation, and emissions compliance, designed to offer a more accessible version of its existing Blue Water Optimum Speed Services (BOSS) application.

The platform provides shipowners, charterers, and operators with access to validated noon reporting, vessel performance analytics, and compliance tools aligned with current regulatory requirements, including CII, EU ETS and IMO DCS.

BOND incorporates Blue Water’s MIRROR reporting tool, which uses vessel-specific HTML forms with onboard validation to reduce errors. Data is submitted via email and processed through additional server-side checks before being used for performance monitoring or compliance reports.

Blue Water says its optimisation algorithms support dynamic speed scheduling and weather routing to identify fuel-efficient voyage plans.

BOND also offers fleet tracking through integrated terrestrial and satellite AIS data, combined with visualisation layers including weather, sea conditions, nautical charts, and restricted zones. Geo-fencing tools enable real-time alerts based on vessel position.
