SeaBot Maritime has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Iceland-based Hefring Marine to integrate AI-supported speed and throttle control systems into high-speed uncrewed surface vessel (USV) training programmes.
The agreement will focus on incorporating Hefring Marine’s Intelligent Marine Assistance System (IMAS) into SeaBot Maritime’s existing USV training framework. The aim is to support operators in managing dynamic high-speed vessel conditions and improve their ability to supervise AI-led decision-making in real time.
IMAS processes real-time sensor data to adjust vessel speed and throttle, taking into account conditions such as wave impacts and wind shear.
Hefring Marine will support integration of IMAS into simulation environments and contribute to course design, while SeaBot Maritime will lead training development and delivery.
