KOBC adds Mapsea and EcoMarine to Korean emissions monitoring voucher programme

Korea Ocean Business Corporation (KOBC) has agreed partnerships with Mapsea and EcoMarine to expand its maritime environmental regulation support voucher programme, aimed at helping domestic shipping companies in Korea to comply with international decarbonisation measures.

The agreements will expand the number of technology partners in the scheme from four to six. A total of 22 ships are currently receiving support under the programme.

The initiative offers services including carbon and fuel tracking, operational data analysis, and compliance improvement strategies.

Mapsea notes that its systems also integrate emissions monitoring with reporting and financial consulting functions, providing broader tools to support regulatory compliance.

KOBC president Ahn Byung Gil noted the expansion would allow more small and medium-sized operators to access monitoring services, while also supporting the growth of domestic green maritime technology providers.

“At the same time, we aim to enhance on-site applicability and competitiveness through collaboration with domestic solution providers, supporting sustainable growth and the shipping industry’s carbon neutrality goals,” he said (translated from Korean).
