Intellian and Eutelsat introduce blockage mitigation system for OneWeb flat panels

Intellian, working with Eutelsat, has introduced a blockage mitigation system for its Enterprise Flat Panel antennas, including the OW11FM maritime terminal, for use on the Eutelsat OneWeb LEO network.

The technology is designed to maintain connectivity when obstacles such as ship superstructures obstruct line of sight.

The system requires a dual installation of two flat panels and a CNX (Customer Network Exchange) Rack, with both units operating under a single service plan.

The OW11FM terminal, targeted at cruise, energy, merchant and ferry operators, incorporates advanced tracking, extended scan range, and dual GNSS for automated calibration.

Intellian says that the OW11FM, as well as its land-based equivalent OW11FL, are the only flat panel user terminals on the OneWeb network to support blockage mitigation.
