TMS Cardiff Gas has renewed its Lifecycle Agreement with Wärtsilä to extend the use of digital maintenance and performance optimisation systems across seven LNG carriers for a further five years.
The agreement covers the vessels’ 2-stroke dual-fuel main engines and is focused on ensuring efficient operations through digital maintenance planning and predictive analytics.
The renewed deal includes Wärtsilä’s Dynamic Maintenance Planning and Expert Insight platforms, which use real-time operational data to optimise maintenance schedules and identify potential issues before they impact vessel performance.

“The agreement’s combination of technology, high-quality spare parts delivery and expert support means we can continue to strengthen the operational reliability of these vessels, ensuring we can meet rising global LNG demand and tight delivery schedules.”
The seven LNG carriers, each equipped with two WinGD 5X72DF dual-fuel engines and Wärtsilä gas valve units, will continue to benefit from remote monitoring and data-driven maintenance insights under the agreement.
Founded in 2011, TMS Cardiff Gas operates a fleet of 20 LNG carriers as part of the wider TMS Group, which manages more than 140 vessels across multiple shipping sectors.
