Infoplaza launches voyage optimisation platform

Infoplaza has launched i-nav, a voyage optimisation platform combining AI-based routing, automated vessel reporting and the company’s metocean data services.

The company says that the application will extend its forecasting services into routing and operational reporting by integrating weather data with optimisation algorithms and compliance functions.

The platform incorporates T.VOS, a multi-objective routing engine developed by Theyr with academic partners, to evaluate route options based on factors including fuel consumption, emissions, safety and Just-In-Time arrival.

The routing calculations use Infoplaza’s marine weather data, generated by blending multiple forecast models and updated four times per day. The model provides atmospheric and ocean parameters for planning in coastal and offshore areas.

The reporting component is delivered with Proseadure, capturing navigation data, engine parameters, weather observations and fuel consumption to generate reporting for CII, MRV and EU ETS.

Operators can monitor performance against Charter Party terms and review post-voyage analytics within the software.
