Margaritaville at Sea agrees predictive maintenance deal

Cruise operator Margaritaville at Sea has signed a ten-year Lifecycle Agreement with Wärtsilä to support maintenance and operational performance across its fleet.

The contract covers the Margaritaville at Sea Paradise and Margaritaville at Sea Islander, which are currently in service, and the Margaritaville at Sea Beachcomber, which is expected to begin operations later this year.

Central to the agreement for the Margaritaville at Sea Beachcomber is the use of Wärtsilä’s Expert Insight technology, which provides real-time monitoring and predictive analytics, designed to improve operational efficiency and reliability by identifying maintenance needs before they impact service.

“This agreement reflects our ongoing commitment to maintaining the highest standards across our fleet,” said Minas Miliaras, Chief Maritime Officer of Margaritaville at Sea.

“Our vessels are operated and maintained with a strong focus on reliability, efficiency, and performance. By working closely with Wärtsilä, we are strengthening our ability to deliver consistent, high-quality operations while continuing to optimise performance and long-term asset value.”

The contract includes structured lifecycle planning and technical support tailored to the operational profile of each vessel. The aim is to optimise maintenance intervals and support long-term asset value through proactive engineering and technical monitoring.

“Our Lifecycle Agreements are designed to support customers who prioritise operational excellence and reliability,” said Andrea Morgante, Vice President, Performance Services at Wärtsilä Marine.

“Margaritaville at Sea has demonstrated a strong commitment to maintaining high-performing vessels, and we are proud to support their continued growth and operational success.”
