Ulstein Digital launches AI-powered MRV and NOx tools

Ulstein Digital has launched two AI-powered tools to automate environmental reporting requirements, including a system for Monitoring, Reporting and Verification (MRV) compliance to manage the European Union Emissions Trading System (EU ETS) alongside UK regulations, as well as a Nitrogen Oxides (NOx) application for quarterly reporting in Norwegian waters.

Both tools connect directly to existing onboard data sources with minimal hardware changes required. The data is automatically collected, validated, and compiled into ready-to-submit reports, reducing manual handling and duplicate workflows.

The MRV compliance tool covers both EU, European Economic Area and UK waters simultaneously. It applies regulatory rules in real time and delivers verifier-ready reports to the Veracity platform by DNV, complete with a full audit trail.

Because the system is vendor-independent, shipowners can integrate it with existing onboard systems regardless of the supplier.
