Marlink is to acquire UK communications firm Global RadioData Communications (GRC) in a deal that it says will add around £35m in annual revenue and 30 employees to its government and defence business.
The transaction, which covers 100% of GRC, is expected to close later in August 2026.
Based in Hereford, GRC designs, integrates and supports satellite, radio frequency (RF), cloud and IP networking systems for defence and government customers, with customers including the UK Ministry of Defence and NATO.
GRC will continue to operate under its existing brand with its current leadership team and employees following the acquisition.
“This acquisition is an important step in scaling our European government and defence business. GRC brings proven defence expertise, and a deep relationship with the UK Ministry of Defence,” said Erik Ceuppens, Marlink Group CEO.
