ClassNK updates emissions software for FuelEU Maritime

ClassNK has released a new feature for its ZETA emissions management software, to support users in meeting the requirements of the upcoming FuelEU Maritime scheme.

ZETA is a tool for visualising GHG emissions and CII ratings for ships, supporting management of EU-ETS. It is currently used for management of data for over 5,500 ships.

The new updates will allow users to more easily manage their FuelEU Maritime obligations when those rules come into force in 2025 by providing tools to monitor fuel oil consumption, energy used, GHG emissions and intensity, as well as other related parameters.

Data can be generated for the entire fleet and for individual ships which are subject to FuelEU Maritime.

Users can also check for any surplus / deficit in their compliance balance and manage banking, borrowing and pooling agreements related to their emissions.
