StormGeo adds Bearing AI to partner network

StormGeo has announced a new partnership with Bearing AI to integrate AI-driven vessel performance modelling into its Voyage Optimisation Service, aiming to improve route planning, fuel efficiency and emissions reduction.

The integration will see StormGeo’s platform incorporate Bearing AI’s machine learning models to deliver more precise fuel consumption predictions and support compliance with IMO regulations, including CII and EEXI.

“Our partnership with Bearing AI represents a new chapter in voyage optimisation,” said Petter Andersen, Senior Vice President – Shipping at StormGeo.

“By integrating AI-driven vessel performance models into our trusted framework, we are offering the best of both worlds – StormGeo’s proven shipping expertise and long history with weather intelligence and Bearing AI’s adaptive technology.”

“The result is a superior solution for shipping companies looking to optimise routes, improve fuel efficiency, and ensure regulatory compliance.”

StormGeo’s system currently provides routing recommendations based on real-time weather and oceanographic data, supported by its in-house forecasting models. The addition of Bearing AI’s tools is expected to improve data accuracy and enable dynamic voyage adjustments with improved ETA predictions.
