Clarksons has acquired 100% of the share capital of Zuma Labs, a technology provider focused on the Forward Freight Agreement (FFA) and commodities markets.
Founded in 2020, Zuma Labs’ flagship platform, Venetian, combines voice and electronic broking in a single interface, allowing users to collect, record and distribute live pricing while managing liquidity and market data.
The platform is supported by Prism, Zuma’s AI engine, which aggregates real-time intelligence from multiple data sources.
“Chase and the Zuma team showcase tools for trade with AI capabilities that unlock significant opportunities across our markets,” said Andi Case, CEO of Clarksons.
“Innovation has always been at the heart of our strategy, and this acquisition reinforces our commitment to technology enhanced engagement, growth, and delivering on the evolving needs of all market brokers and their clients in an increasingly complex global trading environment.”
Zuma will continue to operate under its existing brand as a wholly owned subsidiary of Clarksons.
