Copenhagen-based maritime technology firm ZeroNorth has announced a major leadership transition, with Soren Andersen succeeding founder Soren Meyer as Chief Executive Officer.
Founded in 2020 as a spin-off from Maersk Tankers, the firm currently services 6,000 vessels across nine global locations and employs 550 people.
Mr Andersen joins the company having previously served as CEO of Unimed Maritime Solutions and StormGeo. His background includes 25 years in the shipping industry with specific experience in fleet management and implementing fuel and carbon dioxide (CO2) reduction initiatives.

The incoming CEO noted that the company is in a strong position to support the industry through upcoming technological and regulatory changes.

The platform currently generates more than 3.3 million routes annually to optimise vessel voyages and reported a reduction of 2 million metric tonnes of CO2 emissions for its customers in 2025.
