IRS launches digital platform for class rules

The Indian Register of Shipping (IRClass) has launched NEURON, a digital platform designed to provide faster access to its class rules, classification notes, and technical publications.

The searchable database has been built to streamline the retrieval of regulatory information during ship design, construction, and operational compliance assessments.

The platform integrates IRClass technical documents into a single search environment and is intended to support shipowners, shipyards, and marine surveyors.

“NEURON provides a platform to access IRClass publications, with the aim of improving productivity and supporting technical decisions,” said H. V. Ramesh, Head of Technical at the Indian Register of Shipping.

The system is now live and accessible through a dedicated portal via the IRClass website.
