MESPAS adds AI intelligence to software platform

MESPAS has released a new version of its vessel management software, introducing the foundation for a business intelligence module that will allow users to query vessel performance and other operational data using AI prompts.

The Texel release builds on MESPAS’s existing data architecture, with the company positioning the new functionality as a way to extract information from data already held within the platform.

The update also adds changes across procurement and marketplace functions. Contracted prices can now be imported and displayed during the ordering process, while individual line items within an order can be assigned separate account codes.

Procurement users can also save search filters as tabs for quicker access to frequently used results.

Within quality, health, safety and environment functions, documents can now be filtered by category or product, with search functionality allowing users to locate documents associated with specific equipment or objects.

The MESPAS mobile application now also supports QHSE forms, allowing inspection and drill results to be recorded from a smartphone. Users can create their own forms within MESPAS for use across different operational processes.

The release adds a new user distribution screen for fleet managers, providing an overview of users and the vessels to which they have access. An additional API now includes content recorded in maintenance job cards and QHSE forms, providing access to this data for analysis.

Notifications have also been expanded to cover upcoming and overdue jobs and tasks across desktop and mobile devices.
