StormGeo integrates Anschütz e-logbook data into software package

StormGeo has partnered with navigation and bridge electronics manufacturer Anschütz to integrate Anschütz’s electronic logbook into StormGeo’s s-Suite software package.

The aim of the integration is to support ship operators in reducing manual work and maintaining a more accurate and precise logbook, with data moving directly from the official electronic logbook into s-Insight | Log, making it available for fleet performance analysis and assisting in compliance management for EU-MRV regulations.

The new integration will suggest actions for users and deliver data for reporting and auditing purposes.

“Even though digitalisation is a buzzword in the shipping industry, many vessels still use paper logbooks,” said Volker Wenzel, Technical Marketing Manager at Anschütz.

“Paper logbooks commonly come with issues such as manual entry errors, illegible handwriting, and misplaced logs. Adopting the electronic logbook reduces these errors by providing structured data entry fields, validation checks, and data consistency measures.”
