Accelleron and Japanese software developer seawise have signed a memorandum of understanding to promote digital systems for vessel performance optimisation in Japan.
The partnership focuses on combining Accelleron’s digital analytics and fleet monitoring tools with seawise’s performance management platform to support improved fuel efficiency and decarbonisation.
The two companies plan to offer integrated services for shipowners and operators, providing insights across engine, voyage, and emissions data. This will involve certain Accelleron digital systems, including LOREKA360° Tekomar XPERT Engine, being made available as optional features on seawise’s vessel data platform, swDPF.
The deal was agreed via Turbo Systems United (TSU), a Japanese joint venture between Accelleron and IHI Corporation. seawise itself is a joint venture between Japan Data Science Consortium, Mitsui, and Tsuneishi Shipbuilding.
